If you just keep sewing, it looks to be like that hot pad would become a great rug! It reminds me of the braided rugs my grandma had in her kitchen.

Hi, GoneQuilting!

At the top of this page, click on "Home". That will bring you to a page with categories like "Main", "Pictures" and so on. Down the page a bit is "Tutorials". Click on that and you'll find Eddie's tut on making fabric bowls (and other fabulous tutorials!)

Get prepared to become addicted. This is a wonderful way to use up fabric strips and odd fabrics. One of the bowls I made matches the quilt I made for our son and DIL. I'm thinking that it would be handy to have on your dresser to deposit your jewelry at the end of the day.

Thank you I will do just that. I learned to quilt on my birthday last year which was Dec 30, 2009. And I have 1 quilt done and 3 in the works. I'm addicted to quilting! Have a feeling I'll be addicted to this too!!! Hope I won't end up with too many UFO's!! LOL!!

Great job and yes, they're sew much fun to make. I've been making rugs and they're addicting once you start.
