I love it!! Never saw Snail's Trail done that way.... Pantone (the people who decide what color is "in" each year) have chosen "Radiant Orchid" as THE color for 2014. So your quilt is in style, colorwise! I would love to have it hanging on my wall. So pretty.

I love the color too. Thanks for sharing the story about the crayons. I too remember when money was very tight during WWII and what a thrill it was to get a BIG box of crayons. Now I buy BIG boxes of crayons for my grand kids, but a lot more often than I was able to have a new box when I was a kid. I also remember to tell them that in the "old" days kids didn't get to have a new box of crayons very often. They probably get tired of the "olden days" stories. LOL
