My Finished Dear Jane top
#63
Thank you all who have replied to this thread and I apologise for not replying earlier -- we have a new Grandson !!! Your comments have been lovely and I thank you all so very much.
In reply to some questions :-
Katybob - I don't think I will add the scalloped border - my idea is add a 2 1/2" border in a plain fabric and add the binding.
Nammie to 7 and Grammysharon :- I started this journey in May 2007 - with a longish 18 month break when my late Mum was ill.
SewNso :- I have booked my DJ with a friend who has a LA machine business and she is going to "stitch in the ditch" round each block and tri etc and then I will add a little hand quilting.
Thanks again for all your kind replies.

Thanks to you all for your very kind replies. WELL - my pieced and sashed Dear Jane quilt has now left my house to go to be layered and quilted by a friend who has a long arm quilting machine and a business. It is the first time she hasn't been under my roof since I started her in May 2007 and I do hope she isn't lonely !!! LOL.
