This is the doll quilt I made for the swap with Japan. It measures 22" by 23". I thought I would do red, white, and blue in Honor of the 4th of July. It was so much fun to make and I quilted on it while traveling, so it has been quilted on in 3 different states. I usually quilt with a size 12 needle, but used a 10 so the stitches of blue would show up in the white squares.

When I was planning it, there was going to be a red binder, but when I got ready to put the binder on, the white just spoke to me, and so white it was!

Making these small quilts is so much fun, and I recommend it to all quilters!

That's just beautiful, Ninnie. One of these days I'm going to have to try a Mini. I just do better with the bigger blocks right now! At least I know where to go for advice!!!

thanks PQ, the star stencils were 1 1/2 inch across, I had to make it. the back is red and the white flowers show up as well as the white stars on the boarder, so the back looks like another quilt!

    Thanks imjustme!
