This was without a doubt the hardest quilt I have completed (my 6th overall). It was also my first attempt at FMQ. For those of you who were discussing the issues with LoneStar quilts and the extra/puckering material, I had the same problem with this one between the inner and outer stars (the gold where the "glow" is). It was that bad that I wouldn't have been able to quilt it correctly. Someone on here suggested I block the top. So I wet the top in the bath tub, ran it through the spin cycle in the washer to get out extra water and then pinned it to our big braided rug. Worked like a charm and kept its shape after washing the finishing product. Let me know what you think and thanks in advance for looking:)

I like this. I have made more than 6 quilts, but I do not feel like I could tackle something this complex!

Wow, what a stunning quilt. I must get in and try one of these. My pucker fears have been put to rest:) You pulled this one off beautifully. :)

Your quilt is wonderful! And, I am particularly impressed given it's only your 6th. Congrats!

Absolutely fantastic! When I grow up (as a quilter) I'm definitely going to do one!
