The picture without the border is 18x20. I enlarged the original pattern to 150% because I was intimidated by the teeny pieces of fabric! It took me an entire weekend to sew it together - 8 hours each day, plus several hours to cut out all the pieces!! It's really a simple technique once you get the hang of it. Much easier than foundation paper piecing, which I also enjoy. Cynthia England has a great tutorial on her website. The tutorial makes the book much easier to understand. I've started another one of hers - the sewing machine with the quilt on the table. I enlarged this one also and the pieces are still so tiny. After this one is done I'm going to work on making the pattern for my painted landscape. I'll be sure to post a picture when it's done!
