This is absolutely gorgeous! I have a couple of questions about it if you don't mind. first, what size dresden blade did you use, second, what size is quilt? the reason i'm asking is because my mom wants me to make one like that for her. I've mastered the dresden plate but that's as far as I've gotten. she has a twin bed with a dust ruffle and wants it for a bedspread. she likes the biggest dresden blade which is 8 inches, it comes out pretty big.

Mine measusres 52"by 69" it will fit a full size bed if you use a dust ruffle. I use a 5" blade for mine. My background squares I cut 14 1/2 " square. I have laid it on my bed it is a queen and it almost covers the top.

your quilt is absolutely beautiful. I've always wanted to attempt one, but people kept warning me away; saying it was too difficult for a novice. I think I may just try one soon.

it is not as hard as it seems go to utube and watch Missour Star company video on dresden plate and you will see how easy it is. That is where I got my inspiration. Good luck Dolores
