I have had this on a back burner for a while. (Cancer ribbons for two dear family members). Today a friend came over and gave me a crash course in paper piecing. It was a bit of a challenge but I think they turned out pretty good. I just need to find a lighter weight paper at a cheap price. Going to check out the local office supply. Actual paper piecing paper is a bit pricey!

I use newsprint. I get it at the moving store and cut it to fit my printer. Easy and cheap! What a combo!

Nice job! Try the $ store for the large tablets of the beige newsprint like paper. They are usually in the children's art aisle.

I bought a ream of newsprint paper at an office store. They ordered it and sent for no shipping. It was about $5.00 for 500 sheets. It works in my home printer just fine! Also, it is very easy to remove.

I use regular lined paper that you get from the store. Right now it is about $.79 . Before school starts specials ROCK!!

Great blocks!! I have seen other posts say they use pages from old phone books. Others say newspapers are OK only after the paper is a couple of weeks old to avoid the newsprint ink rubbing off on the fabric.
