My first attempt at quilting
#23
thank you everyone for the encouraging words. I think I will try my hand at quilting by starting with the youngest grandsons quilt (it is smaller and easier to handle  )
For those who asked about the dinasour and motorcycle fabric, I bought from my local quilt store they have a website www.quiltcountry.com. The backing for the motorcycle quilt is actually a full size sheet that I bought off ebay.
I will keep everyone posted.
One question, where can I get a tutorial on how to load the long arm frame? I think it is about time I tighted up my belt and took a swing at my longarm....we will see who wins the machine or me.....

Great job on the tops for your grandsons. Did they help you pick out the fabrics? It's really hard to find fabrics for boys! Your LQS is a winner for having all of the ones you used!
I really agree with whoever said PRACTICE WITH FABRIC YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT FIRST! Don't take a chance on ruining one of those nice tops you made for your grandsons!
