Your colors are GREAT! Light, medium, dark makes a block to POP!
One of the first thing other quilters look at are the points - to leave 1/4 inch for seams - You are RIGHT on!!!
Your checks are cut perfectly!! It makes me twitch when the fabric like that is not cut "squarely" (if that makes sense)
