Did you make this out of Marilyn Doheny's wedge rulers? It sorta looks like it. I'm going to try to - soon I hope! What do you do to make it a floor quilt?

Go to 3rd page and the link is there to the pattern, and also to the book with wedge rulers. I used sort of dark fabrics on the back so that it could go on the floor, and I quilted it more heavily so that it will take a lot of washing.
The rulers are a little expensive, but since I got paid for the quilt, it was OK. Not negative cash for me! And now I have the rulers to use for other projects. I'll be showing some more during the next couple of weeks...I have 2 more cut out already.

    Great job!
I don't know if I could make a round quilt without ruffling.

I'm making the same pattern, firebird, with Marilyn Doheny's 9 degree wedge ruler. I thought the pattern would be great for a challenge with the theme of world peace, but I was very disappointed with my results, not because of technical difficulty, but with fabric selections. i was going to post a question to see if I should finish or toss.

Please post a pic of your circle quilt, it likely is very pretty and you are being too hard on yourself. This one is very nice and I am sure yours is also.
Just saw your quilt, it reminds me of a world globe, all the oceans and seas. Please finish it, it IS beautiful and worth showing.
