    Oh my gosh.....it is looking sooooo gorgeous! I really do love all your colors and am glad you kept the purple. Great job. I will have to try one of those D9Ps myself one of these days. :thumbup:

    Have not found her lovely Canadian fabric - but did see a similar one in the Hancocks of Paducah catalog. It is a Northwoods Batik called Winter Trees in Slate # K 9362 66
    I'm thinking of ordering some for my stash as I love the look of the icy trees!

    What size blocks did you start out with..and did you keep the trees in the upper right and lower left..to get the effect..thanks.Kathleen

    Started with 6" blocks for the 9 patch. My final (finished) block is 16"

    To keep my trees upright, instead of turning the upper right and lower left blocks, I swapped them. Moved the bottom left up to the right and the top right down to the left. No flipping and the trees were the way I wanted! :)
