My First Ever Quilt - Christmas 2003

Here's a picture of the first quilt I ever made.

My mom and I did BOM through our LQS and I used all those blocks and put it into this quilt. I presented it to my mother for Christmas...as you can see, I was still waiting on one more hand print...got it on Christmas day and then fused it on.

Now that I'm a more seasoned quilter, I wish I would have stitched those hands on...and embroidered names...etc, etc.

My mother puts it out every year...it has the hand prints of her husband, all her children and all her grandchildren. No additions to the family since that time...whew!

And it has our group family photo in the center.

A great memory quilt . Wonderful how you have everyone represented through their handprints, plus the group photo to look back on a time in the past. It's precious.

Very nice, it makes such a special quilt with all of the handprints. Great idea.

I don't remember...but I went and looked in quilter's cache and I think this may be the pattern/name for it.
