My brother, who can do anything, took one apart and painted it a beautiful shade of red. It was a big undertaking and took a lot of time to complete. I can understand why someone would charge a lot to repaint one. He did a wonderful job on the little machine.

Beautiful machine and a great price. You will love sewing with her. You should put her picture on the vintage machines site, you can get a lot of questions answered there.

Katia, it makes me very happy to know that I am not the only unique person who names inanimate objects. I have a tangerine orange KitchenAid stand mixer that I named Spencer.

Oh I just love the color .. she is lovely and I would not change a thing! I have just come into being the owner of two ! I was able to bid on Ebay and ended up with two! I have oiled and lubed them both ... ones light works and the other does not. So I will have to purchase one to replace it.(whole light fixture) I have only come up with a name for one *Mitzi* after my first cat who has passed. The second one I have not named as of yet. Enjoy your beauty!

She's a beauty! I had an old black one. Sold it at a garage sale before I ever started quilting. I've never stopped kicking myself for that one!

I really love her too. I do need to figure out how to keep the tension correct and the bobbin thingy working right. I gave her a good cleaning and I think I moved things I should not have. I guess I need to take a Featherweight maintenance class or something.

She is pretty to look at, but I want to be able to use her too.
