My first large quilt finally finished!

Thank you all for the lovely compliments and prayers for my brother.
Bataplai, I didn't buy a pattern. I have one of those block-a-day calendars and I searched through it looking for a block that was relatively simple. The main block is called Tic Tac Toe Variation. I then looked for a block that was a bit more intricate to give the quilt some interest. I chose Blackford's Beauty which I then modified in EQ7. I used EQ7 to design the layout and give me the fabric requirements. It also gave me the templates for the set-in triangles which was terrific. I think I can honestly say that I love EQ7!
Here are a couple more pictures of my quilt inspector (Caeli) who really thought I was making it for her!

Lovely quilt -- the colour combinations are really striking. It is a cheerful, happy quilt. Did you hand or machine sew? Plus you helper looks very much like mine, except with a bit more black on her face.

Thank you, Belfrybat. This was done on the machine. If I had tried hand-quilting I would probably be at it for several years to come! I have tendonitis in my wrists, so hand-quilting isn't something I do much.
