    Yes the hexies were all done by hand; first basted a square of fabric around a template then stitched the hexagons together. I then cut fabric strips (the mint green) larger than I wanted the border to be and hand stitched the body of the quilt to the borders mitering the corners. I debated whether to hand quilt this or not but find that hand quilting is harder on my arthritic hands than the hand piecing was (just a different motion I guess) so opted for the straight machine stitching.
