Beautiful quilt, just as pretty on the back. Thanks for sharing.

When the screen came up and I saw the blocks only, I thought, "Oh goodness, how are we going to tell her that's not a log cabin quilt and here she is, so happy with it??" LOL Glad there was picture #2 :) :) It's lovely and a wonderful first job. Congratulations!!

Anything that says 'log cabin' in it is going to get my attention.

It's a beautiful quilt...the "mistake" block doesn't change that a bit. I often don't see those mistakes until I see a photo! I like the pieced back too.

I'm working on my first log cabin now and doing the quilting in sections. Hope it turns out as nice as yours!

Good job. May it be the start of many satisfying years of quilting.

That's what makes it unique. We all have at least one of these!
I like it, but if it bothers you, applique a bluebird sitting on the "fence" -- it was always meant to be there!

It's a beautiful quilt and I really like that you made it double-sided.
When I first saw the picture, I saw the 'misplaced' square; and read on to see if anyone commented. When I read orangerooms' comment on it being 'unique' I was pretty sure that's what she meant; and wasn't going to say anything more. I thought that was VERY neat way of putting it; then a few posts later when Joanniek posted that she had seen her mistake, it made it even nicer and neater, cause that is EXACTLY what it is Joan.....unique!!!!!! It's a beautiful quilt; and one that you should be proud of. I'm a log cabin lover; and my first and many more of my quilts have been variations of the log cabin. So you have a 'unique' variation of one right here that may never be duplicated; but who knows...... it just might be!!!! Happy quilting!
I like this quilt - both side in fact. You know every quilt should have a tiny unique flaw to see if other can spot it.
