Your log cabin is lovely. This is such a comfy, homey pattern. It was the first quilt I ever made.

Y'all are so kind. I had always avoided log cabins because they just "looked" too complicated for this semi-beginner. Then we had a workshop at our guild with Flavin Glover and she just opened a whole new world for me. I chose the courthouse steps as my first one because that seemed a little easier for me to keep up with the pieces and where they should go. Plus, she explained it all so well. If you would like to see some really, really unusual uses of log cabin, check out her website, www.flavinglover.com. You will be amazed.

As for the rocking chair picture, I love my front porch rockers, and that just seemed like a good place to take a picture. A photographer I am not.

Thanks again for all the kind words.
