Holy cow! This is your first quilt! I've been piecing for 10 years and haven't tackled anything like that before. Your piecing is stunning. Your color choices are absolutely fantastic. She is going to love it. What a wonderful labor of love to finish that quilt for her. If I were you, I'd put it in a show or something. It's amazing! I love it.

I've been quilting for a couple decades now, and I haven't done anything like this. You are doing a wonderful job! It's a real labor of love and your sister will certainly appreciate it.

Now just beware that others will want quilts also.

I definitely agree with others, this is not for a beginning quilter.....truly amazing so far! As my Granny would say, quilting comes naturally to you. You just didn't know it! Please keep us posted!

I started that same pattern last year and I have gave up on it-it drives me crazy. Yours is going to be beautiful. May I ask are you having trouble with your y-seams? I can't get my pieces to go together right. The one I am working on Medallion Starburst
