Yeah, good for you! Has the quilting bit? Are you eager to start another?

Your quilt is fabulous, amazing work for a first. The style reminds me of Art Deco and the fabric has an oriental feel to it. Just beautiful.

The quilt pattern is Moon Glow, version one from Moon Dance, A Quilter's Creative Journey by Cary Flannagan. I took one of their designs and tweaked the sizes of the pieces to make it fit a queen size bed. I also added the embroidered border which also added to the size. Started by doing one method of "quilt as you go" but ripped it all out when it was coming out horrible. Attended a class at my lqs where I bought my machine and the owner showed an entirely different and easy method of quilting in sections. Since we live in Texas where it is h-o-t most of the time, I wanted a thin and drapable batting that did not need to be quilted every few inches. I chose Theremore (purchased quite a few years ago) and it worked out wonderfully. Hopefully my next quilt which is in the works right now will be easier and less frustrating.

Very pretty and sure looks like you have the talent from the very beginning of your love of quilting.
