Actually, the challenge with nutmeg is that it doesn't adhere for very long so I had to quickly mark with a pencil. I have never had the nerve to wash the quilt so I don't know if those pencil marks will come out.

Oh, my, this is gorgeous. And you know what? Your journey with this quilt is much more typical of quilters in America than what we enjoy now, with our specialty cutters and rulers, not to mention marking pens. Downright historical, your quilt is! You have every right to be proud of it.
