Love the colors. What size are your centers? I am wanting to make a log cabin with larger center so I can applique something there. Barb C

I just finished blocks for a log cabin quilt for hubby. Have you decided how you are going to quilt it? I am thinking of sandwiching and machine quilting each block individually and then joining the blocks together already quilted. I think it will be much easier to manage and machine quilt that way. I am also considering using a couple fabrics for the back to make it more interesting. What are your thoughts?

i havent figured out how i am going to quilt it yet. cant decide what to use for backing. i thought about flece but not sure how well that would work.
if i go with 100% cotton fabric as backing i think im going to stich in the ditch to quilt it. this is my first quilt so any suggestions would be great as i am not sure what the best way to do it is either

I was just wondering how things are going with your quilt. I can't wait to see pictures of the finished product! I am sure you are probably busy quilting away and don't have time to respond now, but, I am hoping you let us all see how it turned out.

Oh that is soooo, so pretty CassandraE. What a wonderful first quilt. You just can't go wrong with a log cabin! I love all your bright colors. I think you've got the right idea to stitch in the ditch. There are so many seams in a log cabin that it's difficult if you have to keep crossing those seams. In the ditch can be very effective with the right pattern, and I think log cabin is one of those. :)

Good job!! Your MIL will be thrilled.
