Wow, thank you all so much! I am certainly addicted - I love it! I didn't really know where to start when I first decided to make a quilt so I just found a beginner pattern I thought would be good for my 3 year old granddaughter and just went for it. I made a lot of mistakes, but at least by the second and third quilts I was making new mistakes. LOL

Twinkie - no, I did all the applique on the machine, except for the teddy bear faces - those are hand embroidered directly onto the fabric.

Thanks for all of your encouragement and very nice replies. Makes me excited to try more differing patterns.
