Thread: my first quilts

    OK, here's pics of my first quilts. I have a friend that's been giving me lessons. The pink one I put mostly together, and what a mess it was. My friend put on the border and binding. Now that it's quilted it doesn't look too terribly bad... Then one with the black border is my first one I did, with her instructions. I'm finishing up one more that is 100% me.
    I'm addicted...

    Great job. I love the look of the second one- like magic windows. And the quilting is great too. My first quilt looked nothing like that. (of course, it was in the dark days before a rotary cutter and I can't cut straight to save my life.)

    Both turned out very well! I like the colors of the pink one. It's a little brighter, but you have to like pink or you could easily overdose on pink!

    I cannot take credit for the quilting--my friend whose been giving me lessons has a long arm quilter so we've plan on exchanges--i'll scrapbook for her, she'll quilt for me... :)
