    You are probably right! Each aplique piece is satin stitched with a coordinating thread and I probably don't want anything else competing with this...HMMMMM.....Thanks

    It sure is beautiful. I think I'd go light gray and hope it didn't distract from the gorgeousness of this quilt ~ Pat

    I would only stitch in the 4-patch parts; let the melons or petals float.

    WOW! That is a great quilt! I like variegated threads and would probably try to find one that blends well with the colors rather than sticking out. Take it with you and unroll several feet and try them out on the different colors.
