I wondered what I was going to make because I already had planned on making him a blue, green, yellow and orange quilt, which was his first color requests a few months ago.
Then I decided to look through my scraps to see what I really had and decided I had enough. I drew out a block on scrap paper and calculated the number of blocks I'd need. After getting the blocks completed I left them on my design wall a couple of days to decide if I wanted sashing or not. I decided on black Kona cotton sashing with blue connecting blocks and blue sashing. All made with scraps except the black Kona cotton. I'm binding in the black and then using some of my leftover scraps to make the back.
What do you think?
I love it

Great boy quilt. When I made my grandson his quilt 10 years ago I found it hard to find fabrics that were not 'flowery'. Today there are wonderful choices in stripe, circles, batiks etc. I love your quilt.

One of the best scrappys I've seen. I think it's the black sashing and solid blue border and corner stones that really set it off.
