My DDIL requested a quick quilt for her mother who is currently hospitalized (she thinks she is in a 2nd rate hotel at the beach) for an as yet undiagnosed illness. So here it is. The backing is fleece, front is all flannel. I used entirely from my stash including thread. I quilted it on my long arm that I am still learning to use. Never quilted on fleece with it before so I thought it came out pretty good considering. Oh, and I started it yesterday morning, cutting 40 2 1/2" strips with my June Tailor strip cutting ruler.

Ummy, yummy quilt to snuggle in. Love the squares thrown in with the strips. The recipient may not be aware of the process - but will certainly enjoy the result. Fabulous!

thanks, BeeNana. I am going to be late to my daughter's because I am waiting for the quilt to dry so I can give it to my son to give to my DDIL.

Yes, I love it, it is such a time saver. And really great for flannel, since flannel tends to slither; it holds both edges so cutting is so easy.

Oh, that turned out very nice, and looks so cozy. I'm sure she'll love it, especially if you tell her it's a beach blanket!!!

I admire your patience for quilting with fleece. I just did a quilt like that, and it was a pain in the rear. Nice work

Love the quilt and the speed in which you put it together, if only I had so much motivation I would not have so many WIP's.
