Adequate water plus keep piling dirt around trunk to give more support, or plant by a fence.

Very nice, do you have luck planting your moonflower seeds? I don't, I live just across the lake, in Mi so zone 5.........when did you start your sunflowers? The rabbits ate mine and I think it might be too late to replant............sheesh.............calla

I love moonflowers - but yours is a different variety than mine. Yours is a perennial and mine are annuals. Yours grow bush-like and mine grow like morning glories. I have mine planted already, but won't get any blossoms until the end of August or early September. They actually take that long to flower.
