That is beautiful, and you deserve to be proud of what you accomplished. Your mom is cheering you on from above, and proud of your work.

Oh my. Such a beautiful quilt. Your mother would be so proud of you. I really like the yellow "path" My mother has been gone for nearly 20 years, and I still want to call her to tell her something special in my life. She did a GFG when I was about 10 or 12, and I have thought about it every sense. Finally did one a couple years ago. Thought of her the whole time making it. Do you have another in your head to do?!!

Well, I would love to do a double wedding ring for my daughter. However, I don't think I will English Paper piece like this one. However, she is fussy and I want her to pick the fabrics, so it won't be a surprise. She is getting married June 12th and I would love to have it done by then.

She knows you finished. I know all about wanting to pick that phone up and have the number dialed then realizing there's noone there. Thats very painful :( I lost an aunt who was sometimes like a mother to me and other times a big sister. Its been almost 3 years, and I still find myself wanting to dial her number to tell her about stuff that happens. My mom tells me all the time she would be so proud of me, making quilts. She was the crafty one in the family, she could make anything.
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful :)
