Most are about 1 1/2 " wide, but it doesn't matter how wide or straight they are. I do like the edge I sew down first to be straight to use as a guide. I just used most strips right out of my scrap bag, pieces I had cut off the edges of fabric to even it up before I rotary cut quilt pieces. When you get to a corner the piece may only be 1/2 to 3/4" wide just to fill in that last little bit of space. If every strip is a different width it is OK. I love your happy scrappy quilt. It is so pretty. The bag and pillow are wonderful extras too. Great job on all and thanks for sharing.
