I have that book also. There is a lot of "eye candy" in it!

Your quilt is really lovely - you did a fantastic job.

this is gorgeous. if i ever screw up enough courage to do appliqué, this is the one that would lead the pack. (i have to go look for that book, now!)

i started out using a ruler, but became frustrated. So I marked every line with those washout crayolas. The worst part of doing this quilt was doing all that marking. LOL After I began the quilting, it was smooth sailing after that.

To make sure the crayola markers would wash out, I tried them on all the material, including the white. This took quite a while to quilt--weeks, in fact, because I didn't work on it 24/7. I did worry that it wouldn't come out after being on the quilt so long, but it it easily washed out. I prefer to use these as markers, but I always test the material first before going that route. Especially with a quilt that is going to be marked so heavily.

I have an OLD mountain mist pattern book which I have used to make quilt or two. Yours is gorgeous, by the way.
