I was just going through some of my magazines and saw this in the front of the holiday McCalls Quilting, and I have to say, that I like your use of the holly on the top ornaments better than it is illustrated - that is without the holly. Even though yours started as a mistake, I think it makes the ornament look anchored and not just floating around in space.
