My Insane Yo-Yos (I have 429)
#31
Bottleblone,
No, I won't be making another one, making them was easy
but connecting them together is very time comsuming,
they look easy tho ,I would have liked to have outline it in
maybe a rich gold yellow, but doubt if I will have the
energy, so many other quilting projects I want to do.
but it was worth it, it has taught me patience I didn't
know I had, good luck with yours. :)

Wow! That is beautiful. I have about 425 yo-yo's that my mother started (about half are complete and the other half need to be sewn). I really didn't think I had enough to make anything with adding many, many more, but maybe I need to rethink it. Thanks for sharing!

Unbelievable, you did an awesome job. I have the yo-yo gadgets (circle and heart shaped) but haven’t attempted to make any yet. I hope to have the same patience one day. How long did it take you to complete the quilt.

LucyInthesky, Your name, takes Me back to the 70's !!!
Littleone,
I didn't use a gadget,I use a c.d. trace around it,folded the edges a smidge, the less you fold the better it closes up at the end.
then did a running stitch all the way around, gather it up,an
made a double knot, use good quality thread, or it will break
when you do the gathering to knot it. Oh, after You cut them
from the c.d. Iron them, adding some starch,it will make it
easer to work with. Please never iron them afterwards,
I did one, left it flatter than a pancake !! good thing
I only did one yoyo !!! just helpful hints, for those that would like to make, them, also these can be made into a small pillow, won't take as many, just be chosey with your fabric, oh, the Michael Miller fabric fairy dust,
works great for yoyos :)
