My kitchen will have roosters as part of its country theme, but a quilt? Erin (DD) says I should get a rocking chair and drape it over the back of that!

Your quilts are great and your remodel looks like fun! Been there, done that!! Good thing you can get yourself away from it.

Love both your quilts. Your chicken quilt is so adorable!! Can't wait to see the new chicken squares you will add to another row. Kitchen remodel is a pain I'm sure...but it will be so nice when it is finished.

The quilts are beautiful I especially love the chickens. We redid our kitchen this past summer and it sure is hard in an old house (built in 1938). We had to replace all the walls with sheet rock. It was really worth all the agrivation because now the kitchen is beautiful. I was not so lucky though to be able to quilt while it was going on because I was painting and fell of the ladder and broke my left wrist right into the wrist joint so no quilting for me for a long while. My wrist did heal fine and now I can cook in the new kitchen and I can quilt to my hearts content.
 Linda

Lori--I LOVE your quilts. Your nephew's is really pretty!!

Another row on your chicken quilt? How big is it? Have you considered doing a border instead? One of my chicken quilts I made a narrow black border, then pieced a border out of my leftover chicken fabrics (if you need more I can send you some!!)

Your kitchen is going to be awesome!! You may get used to two dishwashers--I have 2 in my kitchen and I love it!! Wonderful when the whole family is here.

.
It is square-ish now... 70 X68. Another row would make it 68X84. A better size I think.

And thanks for the offer of more fabric, but I think I will be passing on the kindness you showed me... when the chicken challenge starts I'll send off some envelopes!
