I met a lady that just carried quilts on her trunk! Every time she went somewhere there was a kid in a stroller or a grocery cart and she handed one out or asked if they would like to choose one!
My guild has had a time finding a group that wants (actually NEEDS) any of our donations...or there are so many people looking for places to donate....and those places have loads to give out! That is what I am going to do someday! When I retire and have nothing but time on my hands!

Nursing home patients love these lap quilts. It's always too cold for someone sitting still all day.

Nursing Homes use these. Also does your church do fund raisers? Our local food pantry has even been known to take items similar for the needy. God Bless.

older friends and neighbors like a throw for the couch or bed.....also rest homes, assisted living, perfect size for a kid when they sleep over, great for picnics and the car. wedding gift: then tey won't drag that big pretty quilt off their bed to the lawn or car, etc.

You could give some of your quilts to the children's hospital, and/or to children in regular hospital. Retirement homes can use them, too. How about donating to the families that have children that are terminal, and if the child don't make it, then the parent can have the quilt to wrap around themself. I tell them it is like getting a hug from the child. Then they will have something that was the child's to keep for themselves.

Ahh, I like it. Nursing homes would love to have lap quilts donated, especially at Christmas. There are so many in the homes who have no family and get no gifts.
