Your quilt is beautiful and it must be wonderful to have this reminder of your husband, and it looks like Leopold is guarding you and your quilt as well.

So I embarked on making my first quilt ever. It was made with blood, sweat and tears and although not perfect "Larry' is with me when I sleep at night.

In case you're wondering, that's Leopold on the bed. An angel dropped him off at our doorstep about three months before Larry died. He has helped me though so much sadness and has given me back happiness as well.

    Hope you all like.

Leopold looks like his job is to protect you now that Larry is gone. Great tribute to you hubby!

Larry's Quilt is very nice, and I'm sure he approves of it. It's obvious that Leopold likes it... what more confirmation could one want? :)

THANK YOU SO MUCH for showing this quilt and encouraging me! My daddy's name was Larry. He died several years ago. My mom gave me many of his shirts to make a quilt out of, but I've not yet been able to cut them up.

Maybe now I can. I hope my quilt will be as great a tribute to him as yours is to your husband.

I think that's the prettiest 9-patch quilt I've ever seen, and such a labor of love.

What a very nice quilt. I love that you even used the buttons for tacking it! Two "comforts" on that bed! Leopold came to you for several reasons.

It's beautiful!! I am sorry for your loss.

I am wondering if Leopold can smell Larry's scent from his old shirts, and that's why he looks so happy and content!?

I saw your quilt and I am glad that you could do that. I lost my husband on March 9, 2009 and I still have his shirts and jeans but not sure I could do what you have done.

He bought me a little dog back in 2004 and I still have her and she is so much of a companion to me.
