yes they are paper pieced....my preferred method, even though my mom says I'm cheating. I have done template pieced, but I am enjoying this so much more! I also cross stitch, sew, knit, crochet, and do other varies crafts. For the last 10 years I have been mainly a cross stitcher. Kelly-I love to paper piece too-and I do not think it is cheating-it is just another method of piecing. Just like there are many methods of applique. I looked at your other projects too-very nice. You are talented-and busy! I like to cross stitch too, but have not done much since I started quilting.

Wonderful work!!! I think I'm in love with the garden one too!!! Can't wait to see it finished!! The table topper and matching hot pad are awesome!! Hot pads are soo much fun to make, kind of like instant gratification!! :)

Welcome from Sunny Southern California. I am a cross stitcher too!! Though havn't done so much since I went back to work 7 years ago and also quilting has taken up a lot of time. I still have several cross stitch patterns I intend to do. My favs are Lavender & Lace/Told in a garden, especially the angels. Be careful, this quilting is awfully addicting, especially the fabric buying part!!!
