I just got these finished and they were so much fun to make! I am waist deep in my quilting room in felted sweaters. So far I have 7 pair nearly finished. I hope you like them. :-D

P.S. the pair that looks grey is actually the prettiest baby blue!!!

I love that idea. Am I correct in thinking these are made from recycled sweaters that you felted and cut to make mittens? Loving that idea alot!

Very nice! They look so warm and cosy. Are they hard to make?

They are quite time consuming and the hardest part is finding the wool to make them with. Then actually cutting them up after felting of course is so hard to do because they look so pretty. Some of the sweaters I felted I can wear and never made it to the cutting pile. LOL Many friends and loved ones are getting hand felted mittens this Christmas.

If you utube you can find this dude talking about how to do the mittens and I laughed all the way through it. Such a blast!!!

Those are so beautiful, sunshine. I just felted a sweater for a hanging mitten Christmas decoration. Your mittens look like a much more useful project. Thanks for sharing.

kwhite that video is great..have to show my grand daughter as she thinks sewing is too hard for kids but she keeps trying. I keep thinking of the first broomstick quilt we made in Homemaking...said I would never sew again and 10 years later I was making doll clothes, clothes for my girls and then into quilting.

What a great idea. Even those of us that are not used to wearing mittens, have friends and family in places that do.
I love finding really nice projects that reuse things.
You did a good job on these too, alaskasunshine. :-D
