I am wanting to invest in more rulers and as pricey as they are I want my investment decisions to be wise ones. So any input from other quilters will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I am more than happy to share with you this information.
Yes, the "Cable Tool" Template, ruler is Nancy Johnson, and I purchased it from Quilters Rule. That is what I did the Cable Border with. It is a little hard to get use to, but just going slow and being very careful is what worked for me. This was the first time I used it, so still have a lot to learn.
The Swags are done with the 8" Swag Templates from Constantine Quilts. I purchased them from Kings Men Quilting Supply here: http://www.kmquiltingsupply.com/Parts/NoFrills.asp
Just scroll down to find them. There are several videos also there from Constantines to help with how to use them. I love these swag templates. I did have my DH cut them into because they were so long and hard to do the sides of the quilt without turning the quilt, which I am not fond of. I have the HQ Avante, and 18" is all I have and these are 16" long.
Hope this helps, thanks for asking,

Absolutely beautiful - I love the cable border - it has a lot of dimension to it. Great work!

Sorry, but I couldn't use this quilt. If one of my dogs got on it, I'd have to kill them! Just beautiful!

I think that is the most beautiful quilt I have ever seen. It's certainly to pretty to sleep on. You did an outstanding job.
