I like them too. Got a real pretty set when I went to Russia several years ago. I have some embroidery designs also but, have not sewn them out yet. Would love to see a pic of your finished quilt.

Thank you all again. A lot of the fun is picking just the right fabrics so they look like nesting dolls should I love a good challenge.
The pattern is a paper pieced pattern from Quiltmakers 100 Blocks Vol. 5 Summer 2012 magazine.

Sandi, I found the single pattern on etsy and bought it because these are just too adorable. http://www.etsy.com/listing/79670242...ed-quilt-block

I tried to make one myself today with huge waste of fabric. I want to make a wall hanging with four for a friend of mine in Oregon. Her daughter recently had a baby and the baby shower was themed with them, including a Matroyska cake! I thought I would surprise and and make a wide wall hanging with 4 of them representing the women in the family, mother, daughter, older granddaughter, and newborn.

I'm going to see about buying this magazine!

I live in Poland and we see these dolls all the time as something that tourists go home with. They are really cute!
