My little girl's first attempt at quilting- so proud!

My 17 year old daughter asked me to teach her how to quilt so we started off with a small wall hanging and here is her project so far: Name: photo (6).JPG

Blessed are the children of the piecemakers for they shall inherit the quilts!

Good for you Mom..... and good for her too for asking. That whole mom/daughter thing can have it's rough spots for sure (been there/done that) - but when your "grown up" little girl asks to share something like this with you - it's really wonderful. Hope you're having fun -- she's definitely doing a good job!! And hope it leads to many more shared quilting days.
Of all the things i've lost, i miss my mind the most.

Wonderful! Especially since she is beginning early in life. Great things ahead.

Wish I'd been smart enough to ask my Mother to teach me quilting when I was 17!

It's wonderful when you can pass down an art to the next generation. and it looks like she really has a knack for it. Keep encouraging her to continue. kudos to you!

that looks terrific, your DD has a very good 'eye' for colors. Look forward to seeing the finished wall hanging.
