I've made other quilts, just a couple, one of which was an embroidered whole-cloth quilt (my avatar), another one was assembling blocks embroidered by my 89 year old aunt, but this is the FIRST PIECED BLOCK quilt I have done. Thank you for all the compliments -- they're appreciated. Yes, a member since 2012, but during those four years, I've had low back surgery twice, and was hospitalized last October with pneumonia, so my health issues have hindered my quilting, to say the least. My last surgery was in April 2016, so I'm recovering very well, but at 71, I'm a lot slower than I used to be! LOL!

Mariposa, what's next is ANOTHER LOG CABIN, same color combo for my youngest sister, only a little bit larger. Then, for myself, ANOTHER LOG CABIN in reds and whites, and I'll need to find some inspiration for the next after that! One really should get really good at Log Cabin quilts, if she does a lot of them, shouldn't she? I mean, I see flaws in the quilt posted here, and there's always room for improvement, and, you know what they say, "Practice makes perfect", well I'll never get it perfect, so I'll say Practice = Strive for Excellence!
