    I've been reasearching this quilt pattern for almost a year, yours is very nice. I'm wanting to make one for my dad.

    In the past year, and I think it was before I joined the board, I saw an article that showed how to piece each row of the star, then sew the rows together. No Y seams. It involved a technique similar to putting Trip Around the World together. I hope this gives everyone an idea. I wish I could remember where I saw it. Maybe it's online somewhere by now.
