I just love the look of paper pieced blocks, but I find the technique...challenging! Both Yvonne and Patrice have some great illustrated instruction on this board if you've ever wanted to try it or perfect it.

Here's my latest attempt. I'm going to try this in different fabrics today.

It looks pretty cool! Reminds me of those spin art things we use to do at carnivals.

I am so proud of you! You're doing a great job. Gotta love those points!

I don't think I'd argue one bit about paper piecing being challenging! That it can be!!! I think I've mentioned that I have become very adept at ripping extremely small stitches with a rotary cutter!! :mrgreen:

Your paper piecing looks good to me Chele. I printed that pattern out yesterday & hope to make it soon. I'm wondering if the star parts would pop out more if I make the background a more solid color?

beautiful. love the batiks. you are really getting the hang of paper piecing. i like it because of the instant gratification. trim that puppy, turn it over and voila :!: :!: the perfect block :!: :wink:

Another color scheme! I still didn't do it the way I wanted. And I just realized the block has 52 pieces! Okay, I quit!
