My M & L Fabric Haul!
Howdy y'all
So about 2 1/2 weeks ago, my nephew/best friend and I loaded up my new (to me) vehicle and drove from KY to CA to pick up a vintage sewing machine from my best girl friend that had belonged to her mother. Her eyes have gotten so bad that she can't see to sew anymore, and wanted someone to have it that she knew would use it. So if it EVER stops raining here, I'll unload it and set it up so I can take pics of it too!
Anywho...the last time I was out there I wanted to go to M & L Fabrics, but didn't get to. This time I was DETERMINED I was gonna go! WOW!! What a place! It's a good thing I live over 2K miles away or I'd be bankrupt in no time! Everything in these pics came from the $2.98/yd section except for the peacock panel. I bought 2 yards of everything that wasn't panels except for the southwestern style flannel in the bottom left. That one has 4 yards to be used as the backing for a denim rag quilt. And of course, my aspiring future quilter Lily (dgd) had to get into the pic too! The stuffed doll panels are hers to make. All of this, plus a bag full of notions only cost me $205! I gotta start saving my change.....
