i agree. it's beautiful. the mistakes definitely don't show. those rich colors remind me of my mother's (and mine) favorite set of jewelry. :P

Thanks! It's true that only we can see the mistakes we make clearly!

My husband and my favorite season is fall. Also, we have very rich, deep colors in our family room - so I was inspired twice!

I found the pattern in a book. I think a wide variety of color schemes could be used to make it.

GMarie, my favorite season is fall too, though we barely get a taste of it here! That quilt is gorgeous!

Awsome! Hey, you know what? That quilt reminded me of another neat leaf quilt that you might like checking out.

I like this site. This lady has the best patterns and some folks (her fans, I guess) use them and post pics of their quilts. One really, really nice is the leaf quilt yours reminded me of.

And, I also like to see what our European quilters are making too. And at one quilt show, I even saw one of her patterns on display.

    Check it out.

This link is to the autumn leaves. The blocks are on top, the pic of the quilt is at the bottom.

She also has really nice paper-pieced star blocks. Check out the neat sand star quilt someone made at the bottom.
