The work involved in making your quilt would scare me....long before time to quilt it :) Very eye catching & unusual.

After a year of being very undecisive about how to quilt it and thinking maybe I should just take it to someone else to quilt (of which my hubby totally disagreed and insisted that I could just do it) I finally did it. I decided (after asking many from here and elsewhere) that it needed feathers and a year ago they scared me to death... well up until a week ago they still did but I really wanted it to be done and there was no time like the present. So.....

It is my first TOTALLY freehand feathers (no gizmo's, no rulers, no templates, no pantos . I call it "Feathers and Scribbles".
This is a Karen Stone Pattern, and I love it.

Now onto the 500 inches of binding.....
