I love to challenge myself and one winter I was making stuffed valentine hearts for my mom and me. so I had a little bit of velveteen someone had given me. I made some regular size hearts about 3" or 4" and then decided to see how small I could go with them.

Here are the results. I love making these. They are so cute! If I say so myself!

Both pictures are the same hearts but I thought I would show you the size of the hearts in the candy insert. My mom gave me a box of candy the other day and I thought the insert was too cute to throw away. So I tried my hearts in it and you can tell how big they are as this usually holds candy truffles.

The largest one is 1 1/2" and the smallest is 3/4"

Rhonda, if you keep making your wonderful treasures any smaller I will need a microscope to see them. I am in awe of your talents. Beatiful work.

thanks Lauren and Pam. They're fun to make. I was sitting here thinking about how I want to join in the next Doll Quilt this time(I had to drop out a few months ago due to not enough time) and I was thinking these would be cute as embellishments on a Doll Quilt.

Did you know that Chele is promoting a red and white theme for March? I guess you have the red in hand! Maybe we will get to be partners!

Rhonda how do turn this babies? Don't think I could do it. G

I use my scissors point to turn them. Not my fingers! LOL The bigger ones I use my fingers to work the fabric right side out but the tiny ones I can't do that. I always use my scissors to turn the corners of anything I make so it isn't that hard to do. The hardest part for me is getting a smooth rounded look to the hearts. it is so easy to get a jagged or puffed out part that destroys the good look of the heart halves. The seams have to be clean and not crooked. Crooked makes funny bumps when it is turned.

Yeah I am waiting for her to start the March DQ. I saw in Feb where she mentioned it would be red and white. As I have done nothing with white in years as I always used Amish colors I am eager to do something with white. My only reservation is I am the type that spill food every time I eat and I am nervous of keeping white clean!!! LOL

I went to Cantril the other day and got some pretty red print and white and some pinks. I discovered I didn't have much for pinks. so I have my colors picked out. Just not sure what I want to do for the pattern yet.
