So sorry for your loss. Alzheimer's is the worst disease a person could ever get. My FIL had it too. It was hard to convince my sister in law that he had it. She would never believe. Now she is gone also.

It is very nice of you to do one for your dad, and I hope you made one for yourself, too. Just keep your memories in your heart, and she will always be in your heart.
Don't ever let anyone stop you from making your quilts or pillows. It is for you that you make them. If they don't want them fine keep them for yourself or as someone else said save them for a later date but don't stop making them. It is healing for us do make with our loved ones things. You are a better person for doing so!!!!!

Thank you all for the kind words you have given me. It was so helpful to do this project. Now I want one of my own. My husband would like one of his mother as we lost her 5 months before my mom. His dad also had Alzh. but passed in 1980 as a young man of 65. So glad my Dad is still fit and able to get around. He has a tremendous memory also. I love him deeply now. Can't wait to see him again. He lives in Nebr. and is a distance from me. Again thank you all. Love to you all!!!!

I lost my Mom 13 years ago and I know it is hard. That is a wonderful tribute to your lovely Mother and a precious gift for your Dad. Tell him you love him often...
