I have one of the Umbrella Girl quilts that my Mama made many years ago from scraps.(she passed away last year). She told me that she would never get rid of that quilt because it was her favorite. About a year or so before she began to get sick, she told me, "Mary I want you to have this quilt and I reminded her that she said she would never get rid of it. She said, "You have been so good to me, that I want you to have it". It is the most treasured quilt in my collection which is many.
That's wonderful to have something that meant so much to your mom. Not a quilt to use, only show.

Very similar to mine. I had never seen the pattern before. Very pretty.

That is a beautiful quilt. You did a wonderful job on it. It is something like one my mother gave me before she passed and I don't need to tell you that gifts like this that you've given your daughter are a treasure for a lifetime. Thank you for sharing it with us and on behalf of all daughters everyone. Blessings to you.
